If you are arriving by car, parking can be a problem as the stadium is in the city centre and many areas are for permit holders only. You can buy vouchers for parking from most newsagents and shops around the city centre. If you are arriving from England via the M4 or the M48 then you will have to pay to cross the Severn Bridge. Remember that you cannot pay by credit card or debit card so have some cash ready, although you will not have to pay when you go back. There are Park and Ride facilities from outside the city - they will be signposted as you arrive. Be prepared for delays and congestion on a match day.

Cardiff International Airport is located approximately 10 miles to the south-east of Cardiff City Centre. Trains into Cardiff Central station run every hour, the journey takes 25 minutes : Cardiff Airport Telephone: +44 (0)1446 711777

By Train
Cardiff has two rail stations, Cardiff Central (Tel: +44 (0)1222 499 811) and Queen Street. Both are within walking distance of the stadium. Regular services from London Paddington. From Cardiff Central head north towards the bus station, over Wood Street and Park Street and the stadium is directly in front of you. From Queen Street station head down the pedestrianised Queen Street and continue to the end. Then turn right onto High Street and the stadium is on your right.

The Millennium Stadium, or Stadiwm y Mileniwm in Welsh, is the jewel in the crown of the WRU and is the only rugby stadium to boast a fully retractable roof.

Cardiff is one of the best towns in Europe for post match beers. All the pubs are concentrated on the main drag of St Mary's Street which is only a 2 minute walk from the Millennium Stadium. There are some smashing pubs, O'Neill's was my favourite, jam packed, but the staff were fantastic and the atmosphere brilliant.
